　　  Brand new and just honoured with the Red Dot: Best of the Best Award: The furniture series Vero inspires the 40-member expert jury for the Red Dot Award 2014. In one of the world’s largest and most renowned product competitions, Duravit proved again its design excellence. Vero stood out from 4,815 entries and was honoured for highest quality and ground-breaking design. Only 1.5% of all entries in the competition received the coveted top award. Thus, Duravit ranks among the best in international product design.

　　  With the Vero furniture collection, Zurich-based designer Kurt Merki jr. is expanding Duravit’s Vero range of ceramics that has enjoyed twelve years of success. Overall, as a complete bathroom programme, Vero represents a harmonious unity of balanced design and memorable details. Vertical handles that are inset in the fronts create a striking contrast to the classically modern form. Recurring material thicknesses and dimensions that feature in all the items of furniture define the cubic look.

　　  Moreover SensoWash i, Philippe Starck’s first integrated shower-toilet especially developed for the Asian market, won the Red Dot Award. Starck consistently pursues his passion for reduced design and sets global design standards: Ceramics, brushed stainless steel and precise lines merge to create a formal whole. Thus, SensoWash i is able to take its place alone in the bathroom as a design-object whilst also blending harmoniously into the architecture of the modern bathroom series.
